User Experience Optimisation

Businesses are often so focussed on search engine rankings and driving traffic and potential customers to their website that they often forget about what the visitor actually experiences once they visit their website. The result of this can be devastating because it’s unlikely you will generate any leads or indeed sales from their visit. If you have ever been on a website that was difficult to navigate around you will know exactly what I am talking about.

Your website needs to look good, function well, be clean and easy to use. Now I know that may sound quite simple and obvious but you would be surprised how complicated and ‘clunky’ some websites are. When we design a website for you, all of these elements come as standard. However, we also want to make sure that your website is up-to-date on all of the latest algorithms used by search engines. This is where User Experience Optimisation can put you ahead of your competitors. Google are now measuring and analysing the user experience on your website. This means that when a person lands on your home page, Google are seeing what your visitor does; where do they click, do they scroll down, do they view your products in your shop, what about your customer reviews – are they spending time looking at those, are they watching that video you have posted, reading your blog and checking our your gallery?  All of this activity will be analysed and will inform Google which pages of your website are performing (generating the interest of your visitor) and those pages that are not. This will have a direct impact on how your pages are ranked in their search engine results pages.

We have spent a lot of time researching User Experience Optimisation and if you look at our own websites you will see how our pages are designed with this information in mind. In essence, the more your visitors scroll, click, read, comment, like, share, view and engage the more google will like you.
